Based on Jeong Chae Bong's bestselling children's literature of the same name, Oseam takes the audience on an adventure filled with warmth, nostalgia, and imagination. The Grand Prix winner at the 2004 Ansi Animation Festival and the Junior Jury winner at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival, Oseam tells the story of two orphaned siblings as they set out for a long journey in search of their mother. Director Sung Baek Yeop, known for his popular animated TV series White Heart Baekgu, received a special prize at the Seoul International Cartoon & Animation Festival for his visionary work. Beautifully rendered in watercolors with a touch of Korean aesthetics, Oseam promises to bring back the lost innocence in all of us.

Five-year-old boy Gil Son and his blind sister Gami have no one but each other. Being orphans with no memories of their parents, they decide to go on an adventure in search of their mother. On the way, they meet a Buddhist monk who takes pity on the two youngsters and takes them under his wings. Life in the temple between the snowy valleys of Mt. Seorak is anything but mundane as Gil Son's playful pranks and inquisitive mind bring much vigor and spark to his silent and sacred home. But hidden beneath Gil Son's happy facade lies a painful sorrow - the heartrending wish for a mother's touch.
