In this pleasant romantic comedy from Korea, Jin-Soo (Lee Jung-Jae from IL MARE) is a TV anchorman who is suffering from partial amnesia after a traffic accident. Now he only has a vague memory of someone he loves deeply and vows to find that woman. His search leads him to Yeon-Hee (Chang Jin-Young), his high school friend who is trying to erase the memories of her latest ex-boyfriend, with Yeon-Hee's help, Jin-Soo begins to solve the mystery, only to find that he has gradually fallen in love with Yeon-Hee instead. OVER THE RAINBOW is both a charming romantic mystery and a thoughtful tale a bout past and present loves.

Lost memories, recovered love

In "Over the Rainbow", the automobile of a TV weatherman played by Lee Jung-Jae is hit by a truck, leaving Mr. Lee with selective amnesia; there are important parts of his life which he simply cannot recall. He begins to get occasional dreams of a woman, who he assumes probably was important to life. He then finds an over-exposed photo of the woman, but he can't see enough details in the photo to determine who she is. Mr. Lee's character then undertakes an odyssey to seek this woman. He is assisted by an old college friend, played by Jang Jin-Young. For much of the film, this quest is pursued in a fairly desultory fashion. Frankly, recovering his memory just doesn't seem that important to Mr. Lee's character. Consequently, this part of the film never really catches fire. Nonetheless, both Mr. Lee and Ms. Jang have such affable screen presences that we stick with the film just to spend more time in their company. The viewer becomes drawn into the film as the relationship between Lee and Jang grows. And the viewer is pleasantly rewarded by the film's heartwarming resolution. "Over the Rainbow" is uneven, but Lee and Jang are just so darn likeable that I can recommend it for a general audience. |

really nice
| I love the whole story.A little suspense coz i wasn't sure why he lost his memory. But as soon as the story starts to go, its very romantic. One of Lee Jung Jae's best. This is not a new film, nonetheless, its worth watching and buying. Soundtrack??? Choa-haminida!!! |

Romantic feel good film
| I have just finished watching this movie and I loved it! This is a feel-good romantic comedy. There are a lot of flash backs throughout the movie, which seems to be very common in all Korean movies, and can be a bit confusing at times. The storyline is predictable but it is wonderful to watch. |

suspense yet good ending
| The start of it is very long but as you sit through it you start to wonder as well where it leads to. I thought this was an awesome movie that I could watch again and again. |

Nice Romantic Melodrama
| I didn't watch this movie with a lot of anticipation but it turned out to be a pretty pleasant experience. Storyline is pretty simple but there are great on-screen chemistry between the two leads whenever they're on together. I love that dancing in the rain scene also =) Otherwise the interactions btn Lee Jung Jae and others when in the process of tracing back his forgotton love is somewhat dry and uneventful. |
