Actress Kim Min-hee's topless poster has been denied.

The Korea Media Rating Board (KMRB) denied the poster for the movie "Gabi" for the reason that Kim Min-hee's topless pose is too raunchy. Therefore, this poster can't be used in theaters or promotional uses.

There have been other cases where posters like these have been denied. One it has been refused, the production has to go through the process of editing the poster and getting it re-examined by the KMRB.

The posters are usually denied because they are too erotic. 2009 movie "Thirst" by Park Chan-wook was denied because it was too erotic and was only passed when the KMRB re-examined it after editing.

The problem was Kim Ok-bin's legs around Song Kang-ho on the poster. They had to erase all of her legs before it was able to be judged alright.

The posters for Jo Yeo-jeong and Lee Joo-hyeok's "The Servant" and Choi Kang-hee's "Petty Romance" were also denied once. "Petty Romance" had a unique case where it was denied 3 times although it wasn't a movie with many erotic scenes.

The movie "●REC" about gay love was denied its posters twice. Movies "Lady Chatterly" and "Shortbus" were also denied their posters for the erotic reason and Ha Jeong-woo's "Never Forever" was also turned down.

In some cases, the posters were too scary. T-ara Ham Eun-jeong's "White: The Melody of the Curse" was turned down because of the close up poster of a bleeding eye. The reason being too scary.

Foreign movie "The Eye" and Korean movie "The Cut" were also denied for the same reasons.
