Korea's most prolific film director has held a festival to mark the upcoming release of his 100th movie. Im Kwon-taek is back with "Beyond the Years" - the first love story of his storied career.
The festival featured an advance screening of his new film with around 300 people attending including filmmakers, actors and industry bigwigs.
Director Im has won international acclaim for showing Korea's traditional lifestyle and culture through his films.
He says he wants to be remembered as a filmmaker who helped bring the sound of music back to life.
"Beyond the Years" will open on April 12th in theaters throughout Korea.
