PUSAN _ The 11th Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF) will finish tonight its nine-day festival. Thousands have enjoyed a range of films and avidly greeted the stars when they saw them walking on the red carpet or even bumped into them on the streets.

A total of 245 films from 63 countries have been screened in 10 sections and during the gala opening ceremony on Oct. 12, some 150 movie stars stepped onto the red carpet leading to the outdoor stages. Some of the big players _ Andy Lau, Yoo Ji-tae, Kim Ji-soo, Uhm Ji-won, Jung Woo-sung, Kim Tae-hee, Daniel Henney, Park Yong-woo and Lee Joon-gi to name but a few _ also met with their fans during special sessions.

In addition to movies, a series of music concerts were held at the Film Commission Cinema Studio B with the participation of popular local bands and disc jockeys.

Some 1,000 journalists from home and abroad also flocked to the one of the most beautiful port cities in the nation to cover the most dynamic and exciting film festival in Asia.

The festival ends with a closing ceremony at 7 p.m. at the outdoor theater in Haeundae Yacht Center, followed by the closing film "Crazy Stone" by Chinese director Ning Hao.
