Rain to be reunited with J.Y. Park

Renowned K-pop producer J.Y. Park is likely to be reunited with top actor and singer Rain as the former has been proposed to participate in the management company the latter heads as the major shareholder.

Park's management agency, JYP Entertainment, said Monday that it discussed with J.Tune Entertainment how much Park will take over shares and in what manner.

J.Tune was launched in 2007 by Rain, shortly after he terminated his contract with JYP as a singer exclusive for the agency.

A JYP spokesman said that Rain, 28, expressed his intention to engage in acting and singing as an entertainer till he joins the military service in July or later of next year. He added that as a result, Rain asked the JYP side to undertake the management right of his company.

J.Tune Entertainment revealed on that day that JYPE will become its largest shareholder, with a 40 percent stake of a total of 15,609,482 shares.

J.Tune has decided on new rights issue worth 8,499.98 million won to Park and 11 other JYPE executives and employees in a third party allocation, as operating funds. Monday's announcement has prompted speculations that JYPE's value may increase enough for its shares to be listed on the KOSDAQ.

박진영 제이튠엔터테인먼트에 최대주주 입성, 비와 재결합

박진영과 비가 다시 뭉친다.

JYP 엔터테인먼트측은 27일 "최근 제이튠엔터테인먼트가 JYP 프로듀서인 박진영에게 제 3자 배정, 경영 등을 제안함으로써 논의가 시작됐다"고 설명했다.

또한 비가 내년 군대에 입대할 때까지 가수와 배우 등 연예인으로서 활동에만 집중하고 싶다며 JYP 엔터테인먼트에게 회사의 경영을 맡아 줄 것을 요청했다고 덧붙였다.

현 JYP 엔터테인먼트의 주주들 역시 비와 동일한 제안을 해 와 검토 끝에 JYP 엔터테인먼트의 제이튠 엔터테인먼트제3자 배정이 성사됐다.

JYP는 이에 앞으로 비가 연예계 활동을 하는데 지장이 없도록 적극 지원할 예정이다.
한편 제이튠엔터테인먼트는 27일 84억9998만원 규모의 운영자금 조달을 위해 JYP엔터테인먼트와 박진영 외 11명의 JYP임직원 등을 대상으로 하는 3자배정 유상증자를 결정했다고 밝혔다.
