Sangmyung University (President: Lee Hyun-Chung) has established the "Culture Content Executive Course" for CEOs and executives as a prompt response to changes in the global market environment of the contents and convergence industries.
The course aims to achieve the followings: i) provide information on new high-tech technologies in preparation of the era of digital convergence; ii) come up with governmental policies and corporate response strategies to generate new growth engines; iii) develop the creative management capacity of CEOs; iv) create business-human networks; and v) facilitate collaboration between companies and the cultural arts.
The course is composed of six stages or modules. These include developing new perspectives, providing in-depth analyses, identifying the trends of the cultural contents industry, researching case studies, having panel discussions, and sharing and applying knowledge.
Additionally, professors with lots of experiences and knowledge and famous local and international figures are invited to deliver lectures at open forums and workshops; also, the strategy for entering the Chinese market will be provided at seminars and through on-site inspections organized jointly by Donghua University, Shanghai and the South Korean IT Corporate Council to Shanghai.
The course is open to a maximum of 50 CEOs and executives of content-related companies, executives and employees of public institutions, lawyers, financiers and executives in research institutes.
It will be held once a week between Nov. 18, 2009, and Mar. 3, 2010, at the Seigumjung Campus of Sangmyung University. You can apply for the course online (

Mr. Kim Soo-Hong, president of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Group, the chief professor for this course, explained, "The Cultural Content Executive Course has been established for CEOs and executives, with the support of KOCCA, to strengthen the global competitiveness of domestic content-related industries in response to the convergence of the content industry".
