This enchanting new KBS production is based on the heroic character of Chun Hyang, who was brave enough to look for the lover of her own choice during the ancient Chosun period - which was known for its adherence to the strict ideals of Confucius. Sassy Girl, Chun Hyang brings the character to the present day, and offers a captivating tale of romance, jealousy, and arrogance, among other common every-day issues! Han Chae Young (Wild Card, Bet On My Disco) portrays the charming female protagonist Seong Chun Hyang, an industrious, amiable, and poor high school girl who has to work part-time to pay for her daily needs. After being transferred from his old school, handsome Lee Mong Ryong (Jae Hee from Kim Ki Duk's acclaimed 3-iron, and winner of the Best New Actor Award at the 2004 Blue Dragon Presentation) becomes Chun Hyang's classmate. The two start out friends, and soon become lovers. However, Mong Ryong's old flame Hong Chae Rin (Park Si Eun of the KBS Drama School) finds out about their romance. Filled with jealousy, she leaves no stone unturned in her quest to force Chun Hyang and Mong Ryong apart.…
