According to AGB Nilson Research, the first broadcast of "Iljimae" on the 21st had 15.5% ratings. MBC "Spotlight", which airs at the same time, stopped at 11.4%.

The first episode of "Iljimae" showed Iljimae robbing the king's treasure chest. The action that "Iljimae" showed, such as flying above rooftops, attracted attention.
