Singer Se7en is set to release a new single, 18 months since his last release. The song, "Even If I can't Sing", has a Feb. 1 release date and is causing quite a stir in the K-pop scene. It is a collaborative piece by Se7en of YG Entertainment and Park Jin-young of JYP Entertainment.
A teaser video was promoted for the first time ever on SBS's "K-pop Countdown" on Sunday. In the video, Se7en can be seen singing and standing next to a grand piano being played by Park. Prior to the airing of the promotional clip, there had been rumors about the collaboration.
On Jan. 20, Park used his Twitter account and the official JYP Web site to reveal a snap-shot photo of the teaser and asked his followers, "This is my first project for the year. Which artist do you think will sing this new song?
"The two agencies taking part in the joint venture said that they kept the project under the radar even among those involved so there would be no leaks.
