Kangta bid farewell to his fans at his last concert before leaving for the military, Sunday afternoon. The former member of boy band H.O.T, successful solo singer and a Hallyu (Korean wave) super star in China will become a soldier, as he will serve his 2-year-military service.

Fans from Korea, China and even Hong Kong were waiting outside the concert hall at Yonsei University, eager to get a glimpse of the star before the event.

At the press conference, which was packed with reporters from overseas ― including China and Hong Kong, Kangta looked tired from his previous concert the other day, but was eager to share his thoughts about leaving his fans and serving the military.

"It's not like any other performance because I'm leaving right away (on April 1). Now that I am really leaving (for the military), I am grateful for everything and to everyone", the 28-year-old singer said.

Kangta is one of many male celebrities scheduled to enroll in the military this year, and when he was asked if he was worried or even afraid, the singer admitted that he was indeed worried.

"This is a whole new experience for me. I haven't lived a normal life and adapting to a new environment with new people will be difficult. I'm worried if I'll be able to fit in", he said, but added that he was trying his best to stay upbeat.

"I'm also worried that my seniors will want me to ask other singers to come and perform. I don't know what I would say if they ask me to do that", he laughed.

His concert, "Eternity", was aimed at looking back at his last twelve years as a singer and thanking his fans.

When asked about what he would like to do on his last day before leaving, he thought for a moment and finally said that he wanted to go to a theme park.

"Being a celebrity, I haven't had the chance to roam around freely. And when I serve the military it will be more difficult", he said, then continued after pausing a bit. "But come to think of it, I will have to cut my hair, so I don't know if going to the theme park will be possible", he said with a smile.
