Singer Kim Jong-seo used his Twitter account yesterday to announce that he was appointed as a professor of practical music at Kongju Communication Arts College in South Chungcheong.
"Everyone, I have some great news for the year ahead. From this year I will be the professor of practical music at Kongju Communication Arts College. This is something I've had to reflect on and I came to accept the offer. The idea of imparting my musical knowledge on students is daunting and exciting at the same time. You think I will do okay?" the tweet read.
The announcement garnered an array of congratulatory replies from Kim's fans and celebrity friends.
The singer has been busy rehearsing for his appearance on the singing survival show "Opera Star 2012". TvN announced that Kim will participate as a contestant on Jan. 9.
"Opera Star" is the Korean version of the hit British show "Popstar to Operastar". In the show's first season last year, singer Tei placed first, a designation that also awarded her the opportunity to produce an album with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
