Singer Tei was booked without physical detention for driving without a license, Monday.
Seocho Police said that they detected the 28-year-old singer driving his Mercedes Benz in reverse along a one-way road near Sinnonhyeon Station in Gangnam around 8:15 p.m. Sunday.
Checking his identity, police found that his license had been suspended for 70 days after he failed to pay fines imposed last year for traffic signal violations.
Tei claimed that he didn't know his license was suspended, according to police. His agency also said notices about the fine payment and suspension were sent back and Tei was unaware of the fact.
The agency also said driving in reverse down the one-way street was a mistake that the singer regrets.
