Some French high schools are adopting the Korean language in their regular education curriculum.
The Education Section of the Korean Embassy in Paris said Thursday that Francois Magendie,.. a foreign language high school in Bordeaux, has selected Korean as its third foreign language subject.
About 20 students are taking the class learning Korean three hours a week.
Another public high school in Paris called Victor Duruy also opened a Korean language class.
The embassy's Education Section has set up 23 Korean language classes in French elementary, middle and high schools since 2009 as a means to make those schools adopt Korean as a regular course in their education curriculum.
