Top stars and veteran directors attempt at another leap hand in hand

Blockbusters are still in depression ever since 2009 movie "Haeundae". A failure in a large scale blockbuster can sometimes lead to a change in the investing environment. Still, the challenge continues. Top stars and veteran directors dream of another rebirth in Korean blockbusters.

They are non other than Song Kang-ho in "Snowpiercer", Jang Hyuk in "Cold" and Zo In-sung in "The Fist". Son Kang-ho has gone on board once again with director Bong Joon-hoo from "Host" and "Memories of Murder". His movie is about the struggle of people on a train that goes endlessly around in Earth which is facing climate disaster. Song Kang-ho will be starring with worldwide stars such as John Hurt, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell and more.

Jang Hyuk will be the leading character for movie "The Flu" by director Kim Seong-su from movies "Beat" and "Musa". Fighting against a fatal virus, Jang Hyuk and another top star actress look for the host of it. Song Kang-ho and Jang Hyuk will start making this movie in March in the Czech Republic and domestic areas.

Zo In-sung chose to come back with "The Fist" by director Bae Jong as soon as he was discharged from the army in May last year. However, investments weren't fluent and the movie was put on hold until recently CJ Entertainment reorganized the plans. Zo In-sung will once again take on the role of a high school boy who gets super powers whenever he sees injustice.

Movie makers are hoping these top stars and their blockbusters put in energy into the movie industry once again. Well known for their reputations, hopefully these actors will succeed in their new challenge.
