Actor Song Seung-heon visited Vietnam recently to attend a charity event hosted by the National Fund for Vietnamese Children, which was held on Saturday at the National Convention Center in Hanoi.
Established in 1994, the fund was designed to help orphans and poor students with their tuition fees as well as sponsoring operations for children with heart disease and visual impairments.
Song put a teddy bear up for auction, contributing to the total amount raised of US$51,857.
"Whether they are Koreans or Vietnamese, all children are the hope and future of a country", he said. "I hope I can give some hope to children in need through this event".
