In the latest episode of "Deep-rooted Tree", Jo Mal-seng (Lee Jae-yong) got a hold of So-i (Sin Se-kyeong).
On the twentieth episode of the SBS drama "Deep-rooted Tree", aried on December 8th, Jo Mal-seng suspected So-i to be a Milbon.
Sejong (Han Seok-Kyu) gave all rights to Jo Mal-seng to investigate the Milbon case after he lost his son General Gwangpyeong (Seo Joon-yeong).
Jo Mal-seng got a hold of So-i who knew the whereabouts of General Gwangpyeong. He told her, "You are the only one who knew of his residence. Did you tell the Milbon where he was? Twist her legs until she tells the truth" he ordered.
So-i fainted while being tortured. Kang Chae-yoon (Jang Hyeok) heard about this and went to find her, infuriated. He asked Sejong, "How could you do this?", but Sejong put them both in a cell.
So-i had been framed as a Milbon and was going to be sent to Chungcheongdo. However, this was all a plan of Sejong's to trick Jeong Ki-joon and rush the issuing of Hangeul.
