On the twenty-third episode of "Fermented Family", aired on February 22nd, the worsening of Ki-chan's (Kang Shin-il) Alzheimer's and Seol Noh-in's (Lee Dae-geun) pancreatic cancer pained viewer's hearts.

With the continuing pain, Seol Noh-in realized his own condition and asked Pyeong-man (Kim Byeon-choon), "Am I going?" then he continued painfully, "I've lived enough but if I can, I should see her doing alright. That should put me at peace. Will I have enough time?"

Then exhausted from her father and Seol Noh-in, Woo-joo (Lee Min-young) squatted in the kitchen of Cheon Ji In and wiped tears from her eyes. This showed the great sadness that faced Cheon Ji In and made viewers' eyes brim with tears.

Another touching scene was that of Ki-chan singing along with Pyeong-man at dinner time when everyone got together to celebrate Ki-chan's coming home.

After the broadcast, netizens say, "This drama heals me until the end", ""Fermented Family" has always made us a warm meal, thank you", "This drama is going to remain in my memory for a long time! I'm sad it's over" and more.

The final episode of "Fermented Family" on February 23rd will show the reconciliation of Ho-tae and Hyeon-sook as well as Seol Noh-in's last moments with everyone at his side to say goodbye.
