Kim Kang-woo threw away his riches and chsoe Jo Yeo-jeong.
On the thirteenth episode of the KBS 2TV drama "Haeundae Lovers" on the 18th, Lee Tae-seong (Kim Kang-woo) abandoned the name Lee Tae-seong and decided to stay with Ko So-ra (Jo Yeo-jeong).
Tae-seong found out he was the adopted son of the biggest law firm Lee and Jo and that he was married to the current Minister of Justice's daughter Yoon Se-na (Nam Gyoo-ri). However, he told his father Lee Se-jo (Choi Sang-hoon) that he wanted to drop everything including Se-na.
He told his father, "I will break up with Se-na. I won't go up to Seoul with you. I've never been happy being with you. I only thought I had to live my life hard to repay you back for what you've done for me so I became a prosecutor and married Se-na but I wasn't never happy or in love".
"Will you believe me when I say I was happier without memories of my family? I don't want to leave the person who let me feel happiness". He then ran off to So-ra and started talking about his unhappy past.
He said, "When I was young, I was called a dirty adopted kid by the guys. I was so angry I fought back but I was beaten up. It's not my fault I was adopted. I didn't want to be blamed for something I didn't do".
So-ra asked him, "But don't you have to live as Lee Tae-seong?" to which he replied, "I am getting rid of the name Lee Tae-seong, son of Lee Se-jo. That's the only way I can come to you. This is the first time I'm feeling like this". So-ra smiled at his confession.
In the ending scene, Tae-seong and So-ra were arrested were in aiding in a crime.
