The final episode of JTBC drama "Padam Padam... The Sound of His and Her Heartbeats", aired on February 7th, showed Yang Kang-chil (Jeong Woo-seong) proposing on his knees.
He handed Jeong Jina (Han Ji-min) a wooden box and said, "Let's get married". She stalled, saying, "Let me see the ring first".
He said, "I made it from a jujube tree. You are the 'o' [Korean letter] in my name and I am the 'J' in yours" and took out the ring to put on her finger.
He then sent her a special love message. "I thought about it hard. The reason why people love for the sake of love is because of the diamond. Diamonds don't break but wooden rings do, if you are not careful".
He said that for this reason they must love each other very carefully and be thankful. The two shared a happy love in Kangwondo province.
One day Yang Kang-chil was being stubborn, eating less and working hard but in the end suffering from pain. However, Jina was calm about it and extended his life day-by-day. Life wasn't hard, as they were together.
They also enjoyed calling each other new names like; 'my darling' and 'honey'. Kang-chil transcended life by being with Jina and he realized every second was a miracle. This was a message from writer Noh Hee-kyeong to the viewers.
