The final episode of the KBS 2TV drama "The Equator Man" ended with Kim Seon-woo (Eom Tae-woong) and Han Ji-won (Lee Bo-yeong) kissing. However, netizen's are curious if Lee Jang-il (Lee Joon-hyeok) died or not.
On the final episode, Kim Seon-woo's revenge cleared up. Jin Noh-sik (Kim Yeong-cheol) who raised him but killed his father was put in prison and Lee Jang-il who hit him hard on the head and caused him to be blind was done being a prosecutor. Another suspect, Lee Yong-bae (Lee Won-jong) killed himself. Soo-mi's (Lim Jeong-eun) pictures also were destroyed as she had covered up Jang-il's evil deed.
However, Seon-woo wasn't happy. He suffered from becoming a devil like his real father Jin Noh-sik and felt guilty at the sight of his friend Jang-il changing.
Jang-il decided to kill himself but showed mental disorder signs when he failed. Seon-woo took care of Jang-il and went to the seashore where he was hit 15 years ago with Jang-il when he recovered his memory. Jang-il asked for forgiveness there and Seon-woo forgave him. However, not being able to overcome his wrong doings from the past, Jang-il jumped into the water. After that, nothing else was shown about Jang-il and moved over to Seon-woo and Ji-won.
Seon-woo forgave his father, Jin Noh-sik. He went to see him at the prison and Jin Noh-sik cried seeing that Seon-woo couldn't see.
Like he did in the past, Seon-woo who was becoming blind from stress left for the equator leaving just a single letter for his lover Han Ji-won. However, Ji-won flew over to where he was to find her love. The reunited there and kissed. Seon-woo recovered his eyesight where he was calm and relaxed. "The Equator Man" ended here.
