YesAsia Editorial Description

SBS mini series Stained Glass offers drama fans a tender tale of romance and friendship. Aired in both Korea and Japan in 2004, the drama takes place partially in Japan and features beautiful scenic images, a moving score, and touching performances from its all-star cast. Korean Wave stars Lee Dong Gun (Lovers in Paris and Ruler of Your Own World), Kim Ha Neul (Romance and My Tutor Friend), and Kim Sung Soo (Lawyers and Full House) bring to screen a love that is as beautiful and fragile as Stained Glass.

Abandoned at a young age, Dong Joo (Lee Dong Gun) grew up in an orphanage with his best friend Gi Tae (Kim Sung Soo). After the arrival of Ji Soo (Kim Ha Neul), the brothers become rivals, competing for her affection. An accident, however, soon separates the friends. Adopted by a wealthy Japanese couple, Dong Joo leaves Korea behind. Twelve years later, Dong Joo returns to Korea, only to find Gi Tae and Ji Soo are now together. Though Dong Joo greatly values his friendship with Gi Tae, his love for Ji Soo is as strong as ever. Can Dong Joo win back Ji Soo's heart without destroying his bond with Gi Tae?<

STAINED FRIENDSHIP Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
Off to a great start. But Bad ending...Actors tried their best as viewers can see to make the story realistic . Only the lead actress' potrayal seems a bit stoic--you see, its not enough that tears are flowing in someone's eyes. People are not moved alone by just this.... exciting is the part were Emotions run high in the midst of the love triangle. however this still failed to take off as a great series.

Lee Dong Gun SO handsome! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
The story is just so so, like many other Korean drama, sensitive, touching, beautiful, yet very fake and unrealistic. A beautiful girl just has to fall in love with a very rich and handsome young man, or there seems to be nothing else more interesting in life. But that's beyond the point. It's still very worth watching because Lee Dong Gun is just so handsome in the movie. He looked great also in Lover of Paris, but he was sort of a negative figure in that picture, so this one seems far better. I love the way he smiles. What a handsome young man he is! I just wish I could meet him one day in real person, hope I won't be disappointed.

Good Ending Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
What I like about this series is the ending. While watching this series, I grew to really really hate ji-soo, because she is so heartless to Park Gi-Tae, so I'm satisfied that in the end she didn't marry Dong Joo. Kim Sung Su's acting is brilliant. I was so sad seeing him crying over Ji-soo, the heartless girl.

A beautiful love story Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Lee Dong Gun was great in the movie. I liked it because it gave me an insight on life in Korea and at the same time gave a very emotional presentation on love and friendship. However, I was disappointed with the ending. I hope they will make a Part II of this
movie, (with the same cast) and this time I hope it will have a happy ending.
