Following A Tale of Autumn and Winter Sonata, Summer Scent is the third drama in Yoon Suk Ho's hugely popular season series. Starring Song Seung Heon and the gorgeous Son Yae Jin (A Moment To Remember and April Snow), Summer Scent presents a beautiful, bittersweet love story against a lush seasonal backdrop.

A young student, Hye Won (Son Yae Jin) once had a heart transplant because of a critical illness. Little does she know, her new heart belonged to Un Hae, a young woman who died in a car accident and is still being mourned by her boyfriend Min Woo (Song Seung Heon). Min Woo and Hye Won meet by chance while hiking in a forest, and there is an instant connection between them. Min Woo sees many characteristics of his first love in Hye Won, and she feels her heart beat uncontrollably in his presence. The couple subsequently find themselves working together and slowly falling in love. But what will happen when the truth is revealed about Hye Won's donor? Is this true love or just the shadow of a past love?

“ My Heart Permits But Only One Love”
Throughout Asia viewers were gripped by the compelling dramas “Autumn in my Heart” and “Winter Sonata.” This is a third love story for another season. Beautiful greenery and mountain scopes lend their unique character as a backdrop to love; the love that was brought by fate and a everlasting faithful heart. Three year's previously, Min-wu lost his first love in a tragic accident. As he struggles on with life, he meets Hyae-won who reminds him of his lost love, but is racked with emotion and confusion as his feelings for these two women become intertwined. Unbeknownst to the florist Hyae-won, she has received her heart transplant and a second chance at life from Min-wu's first love. When the two cross paths, Hyae-won notices her unusual heart beat. Nobody knew it was her heart that remembered and beats strong for her lost love, Min-wu. As Hyae-won starts falling in love with Min-wu, soon the conflict erupts between the lovely florist and her fiance Jeong-jae. Earthy warm maple tones set the stage for “Autumn in my Heart” and crisp white snowflakes adorned “Winter Sonata”. With this latest drama, the vibrant energy of nature is filled with the sight and sounds of summer. After the first episode was broadcast, KBS's website doubled the hits of the hugely successful “Winter Sonata” with praise from viewers.

I like the story. It was a good idea.
But the cast wasn' t good for me. It' s not their acting but the traits their character becomes. The main Heroine was too fragile, and she' s always crying, everyone loves her too much to hurt her, she' s always the innocent victim... I didn't like that.
The story is so slow. Nothing major happens until the late episodes. Even so it still is so slow to watch. I was so relieved when it ended.
It wasn' t a bad drama, but it wasn' t special. There' s definately a lot of better dramas out there.

At first, I wanted to buy this VCD because I wanted to see Song Seung Hun. Luckily I didn't!

I like Song Seung Hun, but I have to say I didn't like him here. The story is unbelievebly slow. I wasn't very motivated to watch it, I had to cause it was rented. The actings were also very bland. I didn't like Son Ye Jin's character and Son Ye Jin herself. She's like someone who doesn't have energy to live. Although it's a beautifully done show, it lacks of story development. A show that can be done in 10 episodes or even less instead of 20 or something? It was romantic, but honestly I didn't hope that SSH's and SYJ's characters to get together in the end. I was even disappointed that they had a happy ending. It's just -SSH's and SYJ's characters blindly in love feelings and knowing they'll hurt their other partners feelings by doing so - scenes all the time, which got very boring. It's not romantic, compared to All In and Stairway To Heaven.

I have to say this show is only for die hard SSH fans, not for everyone.

Song Seung Hun & Son Yae Jin Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
This drama has a great story line, however it is a bit slow and the author drag on the part that is not needed and shorten the part that is needed to expand. For example, they should expand the ending more. Min-Woo thought that Wae-Yin died already, so when they met at the end, he should of say something and they should at least have some happy moments before the movie end. Because for the entire movie, most the time they're together they had to encounter were awkwardness and guilt, they never had a true happy moments. Also I think Song Seung Hun and Son Yae Jin are great on-screen couple. They both can really act. Both of them are beautiful and very attractive. For most other k-dramas they don't really match up the lead actor and actress. I'm waiting to watch Song Seung Hun again with Son Yae Jin.

This was a beautiully done movie. However, it was slow and very long. I loved it but I didn't like it as much as "All In". I was good but I don't know if I could watch it again.
