""Take Off" was completed with the world's 5th largest super computer (so called Picasso) dedicated to handling graphics designed and operated by KISTI and special effect and computer graphics technology of EON, a company specialized in special effect for movie", said Hong Jeong-woo, senior researcher of KISTI at the seminar with the theme of 'Cases on the Rendering of Domestic Movies Using Super Computer'. "This is the first time for super computer to be used for film production", he added.

CG scenes which caught the attention were the dynamic in-run with a speed of 100km per hour in the second half of the movie and great snow scene seen from the sky as well as the cheering audiences.
Those scenes are a synthesis of images of Ski Jumping World Cup in Oberstdorf, Germany and those of actors and actresses. With the use of super computer, the time for production was reduced and reality was maximized. As the fact that super computer was used in the movie spreads inquires for using supercomputer for CG production are on the rise.
Professor Na Jun-ki at the department of advertising and public relations, Tongmyong Univ. introduced usefulness of a super computer through his presentation, 'Cases on the Use of Super Computer for Animations'.

Professor Na introduced a case where it took less human resources and time to produce TV animations on music for children with the use of super computer compared to when existing computer was used. For example, when music about fall is played animation related to fall is screened at the same time, adding visual features to increase the level of satisfaction.

Also attracted attention was introduction of the current status on how many super computers that the Univ. has and environment for the use of rendering and ways for using Parallel Computing
