Tablo has yet another trophy to prove that his solo comeback in 2011 was one of the hottest that year. According to the results of the 2011 Hiphopplaya Awards, Tablo's album "Fever's End" was chosen as the Album of the Year, with 23.1% of the votes.
The artist spoke out through his YG Entertainment reps, "I'm thankful to the hip hop fans that took the time to listen to my music during a year where other such great albums were released".
The website honored five other categories: Rookie of the Year, Single of the Year, Producer of the Year, Featured Artist of the Year, and Music Video of the year.
Rookie of the Year went to JTong for his Busan EP album, garnering 20.9% of the votes. Beenzino was chosen as the Featured Artist of the Year with 29.2%. 20.7% of the votes established Dok2 as the Producer of the Year. Verbal Jint had a very successful 2011, evident form his two Hiphopplaya awards. 12.84% of the votes gave him the Single of the Year award, and 26.3% of the votes also won him the Music Video of the Year award for his song "You Look Good" featuring Black Skirt.
Launched in 2000, the Hiphopplaya website is one of the most representative online communities for avid hip hop music fans. The Hiphopplaya Awards was started in 2001, honoring some of the most popular hip hop artists.
