The steering committee of the Real Fantastic Film Festival, which will be held on July 14-23, announced a total of 61 presenting films on the screen including an opening film 'AELITA' directed by Yakov Protazanov.

This Real Fantastic Film Festival will consist of Fantastic Planet, Fantastica Koreana, Short and Fantastic, special screening, and special program: Marx Attacks!!!-SciFi movies from Eastern Europe etc.

In its Fantastica Koreana section, some 8 Korean films of various genres will be showcased including 'A Bittersweet Life'

What is worth noticing, is that SciFi movies from Eastern Europe' are screened. The selection will start with the famous Soviet Union's first encounter to science fiction as well as the silent movie AELITA by Yakov Protazanov from 1924 where Soviet cosmonauts explore the capitalistic planet Mars to spread the message of revolution.

But one of the spaceship's engineers falls in love with the queen of Mars - Aelita. A jewel of Soviet sci-fi movies is PLANETA BURG by Pavel Klushantsev from 1962, truly well made and visually exciting: Cosmonauts land on the planet Venus. Instead of intelligent form of living they find themselves in danger from the voracious monsters they find on it.

'Special program: Marx Attacks!!!-SciFi movies from Eastern Europe' screens 'AELITA', 'Planeta Burg', 'Solaris', 'First Spaceship on Venus', 'In the Dust of the Stars', 'Test Pilot Pirx', 'Sexmission' and so forth.
