"The Sun and The Moon" beat all three new broadcast dramas.
According to AGB Nielsen Media Research on the 5th of January, MBC drama "The Sun and The Moon", KBS 2TV drama "Wild Romance" and SBS's "Take Care of Us, Captain" rated 18.0%, 7.1% and 9.2% respectively.
The three dramas started at the same time and went head to head but it ended up with "The Sun and The Moon" taking the lead.
Han Ga-in, Kim Soo-hyeon-I, and Jeong Il-woo make up the lead characters of the drama "The Sun and The Moon". It is about a love story between imaginary king Lee Hwon and a woman named Yeon-woo, who was fated to become a shaman. There were plots and betrayals surrounding the royal throne on this day's episode.
"Take Care of Us, Captain" came out with steady viewing percentage even though it started off with lots of pressure as the follow-up to "Deep-rooted Tree". It presented different images and drew attention with its unique content, being a drama about pilots. This day's episode showed the professional fates of pilots and conflicts between the characters.
Although it fell in viewing percentage, it can't be said that "Wild Romance" did bad either. About the romance between a troublemaking professional baseball player and a girl who loathes him but has to be his bodyguard, it was well evaluated for Lee Dong-wook and Lee Si-yeong's comical acts.
