Choi Si-won and Lee Dong-hae from boy band Super Junior will star in the Taiwanese drama "Extravagant Challenge".
On Dec. 14, Choi Si-won and Lee Dong-hae touched down in Taiwan for the press conference of the drama "Extravagant Challenge" which will air in Taiwan for the first time on Dec. 18 on FTV. The drama is based on a Japanese manga "Skip Beat" and is a vengeful love story about a woman who sets out to become a celebrity to spite a former lover. The female lead will be played by Taiwanese actress Chen Yi-han.
The press conference was attended by cast members, the press and fans amounting to 1,000 in numbers. Actress Chen said, "I believe Choi Si-won and Lee Dong-hae's popularity in Taiwan will help out the drama's ratings".
Lee Dong-hae thanked fans for coming to the conference despite the rain and hoped for the success of the show.
"Through four months of filming, I've accumulated so many wonderful memories. I hope you will all like it", said Choi Si-won.
During the press conference, a video recording featuring congratulatory speeches made by other Super Junior members was also shown.
Of late, Choi Si-won has gathered much attention for being the Korean celebrity with the most Twitter followers. As at Dec. 11, the singer-turned-actor had more than one million fans following him.
