[HanCinema's Drama Review] "Triangle - Drama" Episode 25

The stage is set for the final engagement in the last episode, and it occurs to me, I'm not sure there ever was a plan. Ever since getting out of prison Dong-soo and Yeong-dal have mostly just been running counter-attacks instead of actually pitching their own operation. I'm not sure we ever actually even got to the part that made it clear why it was necessary for Dong-soo to learn casino stuff. It's just more Bok-tae. Hard to imagine he used to seem like a credible threat...More

[HanCinema's Film Review] "My Ordinary Love Story"

2014/07/28 | | Permalink

Eun-jin (played by Kang Ye-won) has had a long series of abortive efforts at genuine romantic relationships. Ever met somebody who says that bad relationships are just learning experiences until you find the right person? Eun-jin is the opposite of that. Listening to Eun-jin detail the first six romances of her life, it's pretty inescapable that we're dealing with a woman who has become horribly bitter and jaded by the entire dating process. Her current boyfriend, Hyeon-seok (played by Song Sae-byeok) is remarkable mainly for being able to get in with her at all- he has no apparent personality traits...More

[HanCinema's Drama Review] "Fated To Love You" Episode 4

2014/07/28 | | Permalink

"Fated to Love You" has hit a sweet balance between laugh-out-loud humor and the very serious matter of having a child. It confines the humor to transitional scenes and gives the heavier moments room to expand and then settle.

Last episode dealt with the immediate reactions to pregnancy while this episode focused on the aftermath - the decisions a man and a woman face when a baby is created as the result of irresponsible behavior...More
