Actor Lee Min-ho, star of the SBS drama "The Heirs", is turning his focus toward a movie that will be released next year. His agency said yesterday that Lee has confirmed his role in "Gangnam Blues".
Director Yoo Ha, who garnered wider popularity through his previous film, "Once Upon A Time In Highschool" (2004), has written the script for the action noir movie. The movie will tell stories about how political powers and gangsters worked together in the 1970s when Gangnam District, a region that is now known for having many affluent residents, started to become more developed. Although few plot details are known, it has been said that Lee's character will face a tragic destiny.
The movie is scheduled to start filming in March so that it can be released in the second half of the year.
