The series 'Wedding" has drawn significant attention in Japan for featuring actor Ryoo Si-won, who has recently solidified his position as a new hallyu star in that country. The series stands a good chance to emerge as a popular hallyu TV drama, as Ryoo's Japanese female fans are showing great interest in it, some even visiting the filming set.
Some 30 Japanese women attended the press conference announcing the production of the series on Aug. 16 at Agua Cafe in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul. They presented Ryoo with various gifts and expressed their strong support for him.
A Japanese woman named Masako, one of Ryoo's admirers who has stayed in Korea since Aug. 13, praised the actor as a very nice person who always greets his fans with a warm smile. She added that Japanese women are very likely to flock to Korea during the filming of "Wedding" to see their favorite actor. "
