Week's New Movie Premieres

TGIF everyone!
Now for you movie buffs out there, let's check on what's new in local theatres.
Quite a variety this week with films of different genres from Korea, the US, France and Japan.
Here's Son Heekyung.
The elements making up Korean horror films are growing more diverse.
What's in style this summer is the medical theme.
First up this week is the Korean horror film "The Cut".
The story revolves around six medical students who begin their much-anticipated human anatomy experiment.
But when their experiment begins, they soon find out their lives have changed for the worst.
The six are haunted by the same nightmares and hallucinations, seeing a weeping woman and a doctor whispering death.
One by one, the medical students start to die.
The remaining students track down the cadaver's past since they believe it was a victim of a serial murderer.
The film mixes both suspense and unexpected surprises to offer a chilling experience.

Next up is an adventure fantasy from Hollywood.
"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" is the fifth installment in the popular Harry Potter film series.
The fantasy is based on the best-selling novel of the same title by British author JK Rowling.
In the latest series, Harry Potter returns to Hogwarts for his fifth year of school.
The young wizard is not having the best time in school as his teachers begin to be suspicious about his recent encounter with Lord Voldemort.

And from France comes the romance "Lady Chatterley".
"Lady Chatterley" is about a woman married to a handicapped man.
Her husband was wounded in the First World War.
Lonely and unhappy, Lady Chatterly finds herself unaccountably attracted to a servant.
The movie, certainly for adult viewers, delicately portrays two different types of love on the emotional and physical levels.

Last up this week is the Japanese romantic melodrama "Henshin", which means "Transformation" in English.
The film is a love story between a young woman and a man who's had a brain transplant.
The interesting twist in this movie is the psychological transformation that goes on in the mind of the young man.
The drama revolves around the conflicts that take place between the couple in this process of transformation.
