2AM To Release New Album In Old School Form

2AM is taking it old school with their upcoming comeback. The group will be releasing their upcoming new album "A Fitzgerald-Style Love Story" in LP form (long-playing microgroove record commonly used on gramophones).

To produce such a record, the production cost per unit will be five times more expensive than CD production and even take 8-9 weeks longer. On top of that, there are no longer any LP production factories left in the country, presenting some serious hurdles.

According to the group's agency Big Hit Entertainment, "We wanted to present a more analogue feel fitting for the emotional ballad and thus we're going ahead with it despite the time and financial costs. Because there are no longer any LP production factories in Korea, we're in the process of ordering from the US".

The new LP-form album will be available for pre-orders online starting from March 7th. It will take two months, with a delivery date slated for May 15th.

2AM will make a comeback with their "A Fitzgerald-Like Love Story" album on March 12th.
