A media outlet reported on the 13th that the Seoul Songpa Police Station has decided not to charge A, who was accused of defamation.

Shim Eun-woo filed a criminal complaint against A on charges of defamation of false information in July last year, and the police decided not to charge A after an eight-month investigation.

A, who claimed to be Shim Eun-woo's middle school classmate, revealed that she was bullied by Shim Eun-woo in 2021. As the controversy arose, Shim Eun-woo apologized for the school violence, saying, "I realized that what I said and did without thinking about it in my childhood can remain a long-term scar to the other person".

However, in 2023, more than two years later, Shim Eun-woo suddenly denied the school violence and sued A.

At the time, Shim Eun-woo said, "All the drama teams were affected by me, and I was scared and afraid of the pressure of whether I committed school violence or not. I decided that I should apologize if I did such a thing. And that's how my apology became recognized for school violence".

However, the police judged that the contents of A's post could not be considered false based on the fact that A's transfer to school was recognized through the school life details record book and that a number of comments were written online in support of A, and the statements of witnesses and reference persons.
