Animation "Hello, Francesca" premiered at Seoul Ani-Cinema

"Hello, Francesca-Animation" an animation based on the same-titled MBC sitcom that whipped up a mania, was premiered at Seoul Ani-Cinema last November 23.

The sitcom "Hello, Francesca" is a story of six vampires living together as a family. Based particularly on Season 1 of the sitcom, the 70-minute animation will showcase the strange ways by which the vampire family attempts to combat the mischief caused by the vampire Kyun.

"In a bizarre sitcom such as the one on which this comic animation was based, some scenes may border on the not-too-wholesome. These scenes are "softened' in animation", said Park, Dae-Yeol, director of the animation. "I can say with confidence that we succeeded in unifying all the elements of this animation so as to give our audiences a most wholesome source of entertainment".

Many members of the sitcom cast lent their voices to the animation's characters. Shim, Hye-Jin lent his voice to Francesca, Shin, Hye-Cheol to Andrea, and Park, Hee-Jin to Mrs. Anseong. Kim, Soo-Mi, who appeared in Season 3 of the sitcom as Isabel, and who has since become a household name, also appears in the animation as a special guest.

The animation is shown at 1, 2:30, 4, and 5:30 PM for 6,000 Korean won (adult), 4,000 won (student) and 3,000 won (group). It is rated as PG-12. To reserve a ticket, go to the website of Seoul Ani-Cinema ( http://cinema.ani.seoul.kr ), Max Movie, or Ticket Link.
