Local English cable channel Arirang TV will start its broadcasting service in Malaysia. It will be aired for 24 hours a day from next month.
As the contract was made in November with MiTV, a newly created Malaysian broadcaster, the company will air Korean-made TV programs in the southeast Asian nation.
It is expected to help "hallyu," or the Korean wave, continue in Malaysia, the local cable channel said.
