It's Wednesday and, you've guessed it, it's celebrity news time with our Michelle Kim. Today, I hear Michelle the latest news on what's happening with the Kate Middleton scandal.

Hello Michelle

[Reporter : ] Hello Conn-young

So, let's start with the duchess.

[Reporter : ] Okay. Just last Friday, the whole world was shocked when Kate Middleton appeared on the cover of a French gossip magazine, topless. She sued, and the court has issued its ruling. Take a look.

When the French tabloid Closer published a series of photos of Kate Middleton sunbathing topless last Friday, it sent a wave of shock around the world and jolted the royal couple into action and they sued.
The couple won a legal victory Tuesday when a French court orderedthe magazine to stop printing the photos and hand them over or face a hefty fine of 12-thousand U.S. dollars for each time it violates the order.
The photos show Middleton sunbathing topless with Prince William at a hunting lodge in southern France, where the two were on vacation earlier this month.
Shortly after the photos were made public, St. James Palace released a statement condemning the photos, saying:
"Their Royal Highnesses have been hugely saddened to learn that a French publication and a photographer have invaded their privacy in such a grotestque and totally unjustifiable manner".
The French magazine's editor has defended the magazine's decision to print the photos, saying that Middleton and the prince were "visible from the street" and the images are "not in the least shocking".

I saw the news about this last week and I was in complete and utter shock.

[Reporter : ] I was too. The royal family can't seem to get away from the prying geyes of the tabloids, what with the nude photos of Prince Harry last month and the photos of the duchess and her sister in bikinis last year. I'm sure many people were very happy with the court's decision. Everyone needs their privacy and no one should think that it's okay to invade it.

I agree. And moving on, what else do you have for us

[Reporter : ] Well, as on every Wednesday, I have the celebrity news of the week.
Today I'll tell you about Katie Holmes' new job, the new judges for two of reality TV's hottest shows, and the scoop on the MTV Europe Music Awards. Take a look.

It's no longer uncommon to see celebrities on the runway -- not as models, but as designers. The latest celebrity exploring a career in fashion is Katie Holmes, who launched a collection of 14 ready-to-wear looks with her stylist Jeanne Yang at New York Fashion Week on Wednesday. The label, called Holmes & Yang, features leather jackets, slouchy silk pants and flirty summer dresses.

There's a new set of judges in town this season on two of America's most popular audition programs, "American Idol" and "The Voice". Rapper Nicki Minaj and country singer Keith Urban will replace Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez on "American Idol". The two will be joining Grammy-winning diva Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson for the 12th season of the show. "The Voice" will also undergo some changes. Shakira and Usher will join Adam Levine and Blake Shelton on the judging panel, taking the spots of Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green.

PSY's "Gangnam Style", already sweeping across the U.S., has won a nomination for best video at the upcoming MTV Europe Music Awards. The awards show will be held in Frankfurt, Germany on November 11th. Rihanna is leading the pack of A-list musicians from around the world with six nominations. Taylor Swift is second with five, and Justin Bieber and Katy Perry are tied with four each.
