Stanley Kubrick is known for groundbreaking work that changed the art of filmmaking and he has influenced generations of young filmmakers through works like "2001: A Space Odyssey", "The Shining", "A Clockwork Orange" and many more.
Cinephiles in Los Angeles will now get to see these works in a new light through an exhibition that surveys the life and work of the legendary director.
The exhibition, "Stanley Kubrick" opens at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on Thursday and continues through next June.
It features hundreds of items from the director's films -- from annotated scripts and iconic costumes to on-set photographs and promotional materials as well as cameras, lenses and other equipment from his time as a still photographer, where he started his career.
The exhibition was created by the Deutsches Filmmuseum in Frankfurt in 2004 to celebrate the director's more than 40 years in film.
It traveled to Berlin, Rome, Melbourne and Paris before landing in Hollywood, where it will be accompanied by a retrospective of all of the director's films.
Kubrick directed thirteen feature films including "Lolita" and "2001: A Space Odyssey", before he passed away in 1999 at the age of 70.
He was famous for exerting almost complete artistic control over his projects and creating thought-provoking films that were often controversial.
"Stanley Kubrick" will be showing at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art from November 1st through June 30th of next year.

It's always fun and interesting to see how films are created and to know what happens behind-the-scenes. And because it's an exhibition about Stanley Kubrick, I'm sure it will attract a wide range of aspiring directors, actors and industry operatives, as well as the general public.

[Reporter : ] I'm sure. And as you may know, Stanley Kubrick started his career as a photographer, which had a strong influence on his directing style, especially with regard to the visual effects he used, and museum-goers will see that in the exhibition.
The retrospective also shows some of the equipment he used to create masterpieces like "2001: A Space Odyssey" and "A Clockwork Orange".

Sounds like a great exhibition. I hope it will travel to Korea at some point. And moving on, what else do you have for us[Reporter : ] "F light" is the new film starring Denzel Washington and it opens in the U.S. on Friday and we have a sneak peek for you. Take a look.

Denzel Washington, Robert Zemeckis and Melissa Leo were in Los Angeles last Tuesday for the premiere of the film "F light".
The film portrays Washington as a pilot named Whip Whitaker who saves almost everyone on board his airplane with a crash landing after a mid-air catastrophe. But his courageous actions quickly become the subject of a government investigation after it's discovered that Whitaker had been drinking the night before the F light.
Washington described his character for the press.

[Interview : Denzel Washington, Actor] "He's a good guy. He's got problems like we all do. I don't want to say he's pathetic or sad, but he's struggling with his addictions".

Director Robert Zemeckis is making his return to live-action filmmaking with "F light", after 12 years of creating motion-capture films like "Polar Express" and "Beowulf".
Zemeckis said it was the film's complex storyline that got him to return to the genre.

[Interview : Robert Zemeckis, Director] "What I loved about this story is the complexity of it, and the moral ambiguity of everything, all the characters, every scene, especially Denzel's character, Whip, that he plays. I just loved the fact that it wasn't a typical Hollywood movie, that it was very, very complicated".

"F light", which also stars Nadine Velazquez, Melissa Leo, and Bruce Greenwood, will land in the U.S. on November 2nd.
When I first heard about the film, I thought it was another story about a crash or a terrorist attack on a plane, but it's actually a character-driven drama that centers on Denzel Washington's character, right[Reporter : ] That's right. The plane crash is only the introduction to the story of Whip Whitaker, a pilot who is painted as a hero after saving his passengers from a potentially fatal plane crash who is later revealed to be a man dealing with alcoholism and addiction.
We all know how great an actor Washington is and he shines in this role.

It definitely sounds like a movie worth watching, but it hasn't been released in Korea yet, is that right[Reporter : ] No it hasn't. I believe we may have to wait until early next year before it hits theaters in Korea.

Sounds good. And now to wrap things up, you have the events bulletin for us[Reporter : ] Yes. Today's bulletin features three concerts happening in November and December. Ulala Session, Band Toxic and Caddo Project play Gyeonggi Arts Center next month, the ballad trio called Fourmen play in December, and YB and Leessang join forces for a concert at KyungHee University over Christmas.
