Asia Film Network Launched in Busan

The Asia Film Industries Network on Tuesday held its opening ceremony at the Westin Chosun Hotel in Busan.

The network's members include the Korean Film Council, Uni Japan Film, the Federation of National Film Associations of Thailand and Vietnam Media.

Chinese Film Promotion International and the Singapore Film Commission will serve as observers, and Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan and other Asian nations are being encouraged to join.

The network will promote the development of the Asian film industry through information sharing, joint action at international film festivals and exchanges and cooperation.
