Hallyu Star Bae Yong-joon has been hospitalized, as a disc problem in his neck (herniated cervical disc) has worsened. According to his agency Keyeast on January 13, Bae Yong-joon entered the hospital on January 4 to receive medical treatment for the disc problem. A spokesperson said, "When he had filmed the drama 'Legend' he had a slipped disc and it has recently gotten worse while filming the drama 'Dream High' in the cold weather. After we observe his condition, we will decide whether he has to undergo an operation".

Bae Yong-joon recently appeared in the KBS 2TV's "Dream High" as a creative producer and special guest actor, playing the head of the board at the Kirin Art School named Jeong Ha Myung. His agency said, "Bae already finished filming for his own part, so there will be no problem for the drama". When Bae had filmed the MBC drama "The Legend" in 2007, he sustained injuries to his shoulders and knees and he had undergone an operation on his shoulder the next year.
