"We are currently in talks for 'BIRDIE BUDDY' to air on MBC after current drama 'Queen of Reversals' ends its run", a PR official from production company Group 8 told 10Asia over the phone on Thursday.

She added that there is also a chance "BIRDIE BUDDY" would premiere in early January should "Queen of Reversals" extend its run. The finale episode of "Queen of Reversals" is currently set for December 21.

"BIRDIE BUDDY", based on a comic series by Lee Hyeon-se, is about the world of female golfers. Lee has also received a presidential award for his golf series of the same name.

The drama will star Korean girl group After School member UEE who plays the role of Sung Mi-soo, a poor girl from the country side who dreams of becoming a famous golfer and dancer-turned-actor Lee Yong-woo who will take on the role of John Lee, a pro golfer and love interest to Mi-soo.
