BoA to Receive Comtemporary Artist Award

Singer Boa will receive the 'Young Contemporary Artist Award' (Minister's Award) from the Ministry Culture and Tourism. Meanwhile, actress Goh Doo-shim and actor Kim Sung-hwan will receive the Okgwan Cultural Medal of Honor and the Hwagwan Cultural Medal of Honor, respectively.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism recently selected and announced the recipients for the 2007 Cultural Medal of Honor as well as the 2007 Young Contemporary Artist Award.

Boa, the recipient of this year's young contemporary artist award, which goes out to artists in their 20s and 30s, is being recognized by the government for her accomplishments in both South Korea and Japan.

Go Doo-shim and Kim Sung-hwan will be awarded for their long-term contributions to the popular arts sector.
