"Brain" finally #1, ratings are neck-and-neck

KBS 2TV's "Brain" rose to #1 in it's time slot.

The December 27th ratings report from AGB Nielsen Media Research stated that December 26th's broadcast of "Brain" recorded an average of 14.9% of viewers nationally, topping the charts. Compared to the last broadcast's 13.1%, this is a 1.8% increase. In this time slot, MBC's "Lights and Shadows" took 13.2% of viewers and SBS's "Deep-rooted Tree" special grabbed 8.2%.

Since "A Thousand Days' Promise" ended on December 20th, "Brain" has been there to take its place, claiming the second spot. However, rival "Lights and Shadows" is trailing with much energy and vigor, and a fierce competition between the two is expected.

With "Take Care of Us, Captain", the follow-up to "A Thousand Days' Promise", beginning to air on January 4th, it is especially hard to predict how this ratings battle will play out.

While "Brain" currently holds the top spot, many are paying keen attention to this ratings race.
