Broadcast Worldwide to Bring Together World's Broadcasters

The Broadcast Worldwide (BCWW), an event that will highlight the popularity of Korean culture and bring together broadcasting content from various corners of the world, will be held August 29 through September 3 at the COEX in Seoul.

Organized by the Korean Broadcasting Institute and marking its seventh year, BCWW serves as a venue for exchanging broadcasting and video materials among countries and concluding partnerships among broadcast experts.

More than 5,000 people, including representatives of 250 companies from 30 countries and 900 buyers, will attend the event this year.

BCWW has posted sales records of 10-15 billion won every year. This year, deals worth 16 billion won will likely be concluded, attesting to the event's status as Asia's largest market of broadcast content providers.

An official from the Korean Broadcasting Institute said this year's event will serve as an opportunity to highlight the latest global trends in TV dramas and come up with ways to restore the popularity of Korean culture, which has been showing signs of a slump recently.
