In an interview for the tvN drama "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim", Hwang Bo-ra said, "It's been 6 years since [my boyfriend and I have] been together and I feel sturdy. I feel like he's the kind of man I should get married to".

She also posted pictures of him on SNS. In the picture are Hwang Bo-ra, Cha Hyun-woo, and his brother Ha Jung-woo.

Hwang Bo-ra also showed support for Cha Hyun-woo's brother's latest film.

Born in 1980, Cha Hyun-woo's real name is Kim Young-hoon. He is son to Kim Yong-gun and brother to Ha Jung-woo. He started dating Hwang Bo-ra with whom he starred in the drama "Road No. 1". It appears they met at church.
