Actor Cha Tae-hyun confirms a role in movie "The Grand Heist" and attempts at a historical for the first time in his career.

Distributor NEW said on the 12th, "Cha Tae-hyun has confirmed a role in "The Grand Heist".

"The Grand Heist" is a historical comedy genre about the icy war around the Seobinggo Station in the Chosun times. Cha Tae-hyun will take on the role as Deok-moo, leader of a group of professionals who plan the icy war. Playful but genius, he is a quick reactor with good resources.

"The Grand Heist" is also known as the Chosun version of "Ocean's Eleven" as it deals with thieves who break into the icy safe and has been in process for 3 years. Like their names, Cha Tae-hyun, Oh Ji-ho, Sung Dong-il, Lee Moon-shik, Ko Chang-seok, Kim Jung-tae, Seo Shin-ae, Chun Bo-geun and others have been cast for this movie. They are all the best in their parts in this movie and will possess strong characters.

Meanwhile, the female cast hasn't been announced yet and the movie will crank in this September.
