Choi Wooshik, "I enjoyed the intimacy with Lim Seulong"

"Hogu's Love" dealt with sensitive matters in society such as single mothers, homosexuality and rape. Choi Wooshik even worried about the scenario in which Do Do-hee (played by UEE) gets raped and has a baby.

"I wondered how the viewers would take it in. The writer and producer also worried a lot about this part. It was shocking for me too. I was also worried about how Ho-goo would accept this truth about Do-hee".

Choi Wooshik's character of Ho-goo sued Noh Kyeong-woo who raped Do Do-hee and worried about how he would face the situation at the police station. Ho-goo suppressed his anger and swore at the criminal on the phone, made banners pointing him as the rapist and threatened to make a biography about him claiming that he was a national rapist.

"I told myself 'it was only possible because it was Ho-goo'. There are expressions of feelings that are different from what I have in mind. However, it was the aim of the drama to heal someone you love".

Choi Wooshik chose the bro-mance with Lim Seulong as the most memorable episode.

"I can never forget it. Lim Seulong pushed me against the wall to 'deal' with me. It was fun. He's taller than me and it felt weird having his breath so close to my face. There were so many NG's and we laughed so much. It was weird but I would do it again. One more time?"

He doesn't want people to misunderstand his sexuality, though.

"I was misunderstood a lot in "Rooftop Prince" when I played the eunuch but I like women. It's not easy dealing with homosexuality in our country. It was only possible because it wasn't explicit. Please don't misunderstand".

Choi Wooshik appears to be really cute in one part of the drama. That was in the fourteenth episode when Kang Ho-goo and Do Do-hee exchange feelings for each other and he sings "Little Zoo" for her. The song became a hit and footage of his song and dance spread all over the Net.

"I didn't know it would be such a hit. The song wasn't even in the script. I just sang it because Ho-goo is someone who acts based on his feelings rather than his rationality. I felt so embarrassed dancing and singing the song. Thankfully, everyone liked it".

"Hogu's Love" was a popular drama but there was some debate about it in the beginning. Lee Soo-kyung-I who played Kang Ho-goo's sister Kang Ho-kyeong was pointed out for bad attitude. She said about Choi Wooshik, "He was like a fool from the beginning" and laughed in a weird manner at the production presentation.

Choi Wooshik claims, "I felt bad for her. I didn't think otherwise about her actions at the presentation. We were getting along just fine. It wasn't right, the way she behaved but I didn't know what to do. It was a good experience and hopefully I become a better person".

"I still have a lot to learn. I want to work with Ryu Seung-beom one day. I want to learn how to be alive on set".

"I heard that Ryu Seung-beom 'stays alive' on set. I also want to be like that. So I want to work with him and feel what it's like to 'be alive'".

Choi Wooshik is currently contemplating the movie "Train to Busan". There was a reason why he couldn't say if he was going to do it or not.

"I got to think a lot after receiving the 19th Busan International Film Festival 'Actor of the Year' award last year. My expectations went up and those who didn't know me even said, "Let's see how well you can do it". I was pressured and I didn't want to disappoint so it took me a long time to decide what I was going to do. I don't want to be a disappointment".

"Thank you to those who supported "Hogu's Love". I don't know what I'm coming back with but I won't let you down".
