Chu Sang-mi gives birth in the morning : "3.8kg baby, both healthy"

She gave birth to a healthy son on the morning of the 6th at a gynecologist in Seoul around 2:15AM. Her labor started in the morning of the 5th and after nearly 20 hours of pain, she managed to hold her baby in her arms.

Her husband and actor Lee Suk-joon didn't leave her side for one minute. He had to stand MC for "Musical Story Show with Lee Suk-joon Season 2" but he knew she was about to have the baby so got fellow actor Choi Sung-won to stand on stage for him instead.

When the show started he called the stage and told the audience who were there, "I am sorry I couldn't be there for some matter". The audience applauded him, wishing he could meet his newborn son as soon as possible.

Seeing his son for the first time, he said, "Our son was born without any other medical interference. He's strong. Thank you to everyone who was concerned".

Meanwhile, Chu Sang-mi and Lee Suk-joon met in 2003 through the musical "Sorrows of Werther" and got married in 2007 after 4 years of love.
