"Deranged" invited to Spain's Sitges Film Festival

The movie "Deranged" has been officially invited to the 45th Sitges Film Festival.

"Deranged" has officially been invited in the Sitges Film Festival's Casa Asia section. Spain's representative film festival, the Sitges Film Festival has been called the 'Cannes' for fantasy films and will be held for 10 days from October 4th to the 14th. Last year, Director Ryoo Seung-wan's 'The Unjust' won in the Casa Asia section. In addition, "Bad Man", "Old Boy", 'The Good, the Bad, the Weird', "Thirst", and "The Yellow Sea" have each won in their respective categories at the Sitges Film Festival.

Meanwhile, "Deranged" is based on the subject matter of the killer parasite yeongasi, which lives off the host's body until breeding season and then manipulates the person's brain to drown oneself in water. Kim Myung-min, Kim Dong-wan, Moon Jung-hee, and Lee Honey star.

According to the Korean Film Council, as of July 30th, "Deranged" has sold a total of 4,430,437 tickets.
