The much-anticipated film directed by Kang Woo-seok sold some three-hundred-20-thousand tickets at about one-hundred-20 theaters in Seoul over the past three-day holiday.

The provocative movie dealing with the nation's conflicts with Japan beat out the American flick "The Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest", which drew about two-hundred-90-thousand people at some one-hundred-10 theaters in Seoul during the same period.

Meanwhile, another Hollywood blockbuster "Superman Returns" came in third.
